Bob Shaver once again pounding on his Ti-Tri in the snow. These pictures were taken on 3/14/10 in Cascade Idaho at 8 AM and 7.4 degrees F. Quote from Bob: "[everything was frozen so] I took a sliver of paper as big as a little fingernail, and put it in the fuel in the primer ring. A wooden match lit the paper, and the paper got a little of the alcohol going. In about a minute ....

...the stove was fully lit, and it worked fine. I fried my frozen potato dish, then made a few cups of coffee, and melted some snow for water. Then I put my frozen water bottle in the heated water to melt the ice in the bottle. No problem with the Caldera working at 7 degrees. I had my breakfast finished before the gas stove users....."
