Record holder Hans Florine with his Keg-F scrambling walls in Yosemite. Hans notes: "OK, I didn't take this Trail Designs stove on the 2 hour 37 minute and 5 second ascent of The Nose. But I love Trail Designs stoves for just about all my other light and fast adventures."

September 2012 issue of TGO magazine features a review of the MLD Trailstar.....however front and center in the picture is a Sidewinder Ti-Tri....very cool :-)

Paul Cronshaw on his PCT section hike from Lake Tahoe to Ashland reports that: "Still in my sleeping bag, I used it every day, with an esbit to heat water for my oatmeal breakfast; at dinner I used biomass twigs to prepare meals. I loved the way it left a zero ash footprint, unlike many of the hideous fire pits. A great stove for the PCT!"

It ticks all the right boxes for a backpacking stove: it's light, compact, beautifully simple, durable, efficient and relatively cheap."

Пришли к выводу, что огонь в печке Ti-Tri горит лучше, чем в Bush Buddy, и на ней можно быстрее вскипятить воду. Наверное, это связано, прежде всего, с бóльшим объёмом печки. Больше дров помещается, и, следовательно, легче поддерживать стабильное горение. Благодаря широкому основанию печка также стоит на земле более устойчиво, а высокие стенки лучше направляют поток тепла именно ко днищу котла. Однако каждая печка рассчитана на определённую модель котелка. Как видно, у ребят диаметр котелка не совпадает с диаметром печки, из-за чего он стоит неустойчиво.

Duane Hall just upgraded his Ti-Tri with an Inferno and sent along these pictures of it in action. Duane notes: "I am delighted with the efficiency of this piece of kit. I liked the Tri-Ti in wood burning mode before; this is better! I didn't time this .9 litre pot of water, but it was fast."

Chris Townsend, TGO's gear editor and long-distance expert, writes a nice article in the Spring 2012 TGO issue (page 68) on the joys of wood fires while camping. That's him pictured with his Sidewinder!

March 2012, pg 128, TGO Magazine's Terry Abraham did an article called "Ancient hills and new technology".....mostly about electronic communication....but it's also nice to see a Caldera Cone in the picture with that kind of subject. :-)
